The engagement
The Enablement Sprint.
A defined engagement for healthcare organizations ready to put AI inside a workflow that matters. Six to twelve weeks. Senior engineering from the first day. A working system — not a pilot — at the end.
Start a conversation →Embed · Weeks 1–2
We sit with your team.
Our engineers and clinical informaticists shadow your operators, developers, and clinical leaders. We map the workflow in situ — inside your EHR, your claims system, your chart reviews. Every Enablement Sprint opens with a week of observation, not a week of slides.
- On-site or embedded-remote, at your preference
- Full access to the workflow, not just the stakeholders
- Daily written notes shared with your leadership
Build · Weeks 2–6
We ship on your data.
We deploy a working AI system against your actual records, claims, documentation, or workflows — EHR-integrated, HIPAA-audited, and measurable. Every pull request is reviewed by both teams. Your engineers hold merge rights.
- Runs inside your compliance envelope from commit one
- Weekly demo to clinical and executive stakeholders
- Instrumented for before/after measurement
Transfer · Weeks 6–12
Your team owns it.
We hand over the codebase, the documentation, the model weights where relevant, the runbook, and — importantly — the ability to operate the system without Cara. We remain on retainer only as long as your team wants us.
- Full source transfer under your chosen license
- Named engineering lead on your team trained to own it
- Open-ended retainer option for continuing co-development
What makes it different
Why the Sprint is built the way it is.
Senior from day one
Every Enablement Sprint is staffed by the founders and principal engineers. The first call is never with a junior AE, and the last call is never with a handoff.
Honest about fit
We only take engagements where we have conviction the AI work will matter to clinical or operational outcomes. If we don't, we say so — and often refer you elsewhere.
No platform lock-in
You own what we build. Cara's platform accelerates the work — it is not a rental you need to keep paying for once the engagement ends.
Scoped to the workflow
Every Sprint targets a specific workflow — prior auth, ambient documentation, member operations, trial intake. Scope is defined up front, measured the way the partner measures it.
