1.What Cara One does
Cara One is a health assistant app for iPhone and Android, made by Cara Technologies, Inc. You talk to Cara One in a chat, and it keeps a personal health vault that you control.
- Tell Cara One about your medicines, allergies, conditions, and goals, and ask questions about your health information.
- Upload lab reports and visit summaries. Cara One reads them and adds the details to your vault.
- Keep a health timeline and a to do list: upcoming appointments, refills, results, and bills that need attention.
- Set reminders, which we call nudges, in the chat.
- Connect a practice you already see, Apple Health, and devices.
2.Connecting Gmail and Google Calendar
Connecting Google is optional. If you connect it, Cara One can:
Gmail
- Read health related email, such as appointment confirmations, refill notices, lab results, and bills or coverage notices from your practices, pharmacies, labs, and insurers, and add what matters to your timeline and to do list.
- Write a draft reply for you, for example to confirm or reschedule an appointment, and send it from your Gmail account only after you review it and tap to approve.
Google Calendar
- Warn you when a health appointment conflicts with something else on your calendar, and suggest times that work.
- Add or update appointments on your calendar when you ask.
You can disconnect Google at any time in the app settings or at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
3.Your privacy
We never sell your information and never use it for advertising. People at Cara do not read your email or calendar, except with your permission, for security, or when the law requires it.
Read the details in our Privacy Policy, including the Google user data section, and our Terms of Service.
